Life is good and so is the weather here in Cbus so who can complain. I hope everybody is having a good week as we get ready for the holidays. Brandon who I have been telling for years aint no team with dookie gibson and JJ hickson EVER gonna win the title! Delon and Kathryn's wedding

Congrats on your wedding and your honeymoon heading to Mexico. 14 years and it is finally done so best of luck to you guys! Delon like I told you before you left, I hope you got some sunscreen because if you didn't, you will come back looking dark as Wesley Snipes.

World Cup

I know most of you are not soccer fans but this is really the Worlds game. I hear from a lot of people it's boring and slow and I don't understand it. Usually those are the people who tried to play it when they were 7 are were just terrible. I do think that if you are ever able to go outside the United States and watch it there, you will see how exciting it is. Plus what else spot can you see Bishop Tutu dancing?

And if that is not enough...fellas you might as root for Paraguay. If Paraguay wins the World Cup Larissa Riquelme, a lingerie model, will run naked if they win...so that might not be too bad LOL.

Every year you amaze me on how reckless your awards show can be. Would it be too much to have people who are up to winning awards dress up? Also we do not need 35 of your producers on the stage while you are thanking God. We are better then that people and you know it. I do have a couple of side notes that I felt were disappointing for the show.

El Debarge

How are you going to bring him back without his brother Chico? I mean this kat looked like he just stepped out of the 80s singing rhythm of the night. The biggest issue I had is how is he not gonna sing his banger "Who's Johnny?". That is the song I wanted to hear while you were bringing him back. If you don't remember that song...here is a taste..

That was his first solo single that made it big. You got Steve Guttenburg who hasn't made a movie since High Spirits and Ally Sheedy who hasn't done anything since she was Matthew Brodericks love interest in War Games in the video. Highly disappointed there BET.

C'mon now son with those fake tears. We know good and well you were not that emotional dancing to man in the mirror..a tribute to MJ. I do know that he died a year ago (yes people it is that long..relax) but seriously you were crying a little too hard. In fact I watched the replay and I did not even see tears. Now I know you are trying to make a comeback but you really need to work on that acting. I guess I should have known because that appearance you made in stomp the yard was horrible.

March Madness

Hey everybody...its been a few months! Life has been so hectic that I really don't have time to write but I got my hw done early and was able to get some things off my mind. Wow spring is almost here so it's time to push those workouts into high gear so you can get ready for your vacations! LOL

Best time of year when it comes to sports. You can not argue with the ability to just sit at home and watch basketball all day long. I know for a fact my wife hates this time of year but this is why you get that big screen, why you get that HDMI cable to get the best quality picture. I don't plan on moving too far except to let these dogs out and take a shower! LOL. Also this commercial is what you need to get going before watching the games...




Brackets

I just love filling out brackets trying to guess which team is going to make it. Of course the best part is getting into these pools and winning that moola! The key to brackets though is you got to leave your heart at the door and try to get those wins. I have a couple of teams this year that I really like, but not sure if they can cut those nets down. Let me first start off by saying browns fans you got to relax. I know you were hoping that Brady Quinn was going to be your answer..but really..lets be real. He had a few games to get things going and it wasn't pretty. Holgrem knows what he is doing even though I don't know why he picks up Jake Delhomme who is a bum LOL. Just relax and when you guys draft a qb this year, it will be the one you can definitely make sure you buy his jersey because he will be there for a while!

Dressing for the weather



You know what is truly amazing in Ohio is how we view weather. My wife made a good point....when its upper 50 degrees in September most of us say it's too cold. If it is 50 degrees in March we think its summer. People driving down the street with windows down just bumpin. However, this is the issue I am always seeing around here. Just cause the sun is out doesn't mean you have to be in shorts. I am tired of seeing people after work at the mall or at the gas station in shorts. It is not that warm outside for you to be in your old navy cargo shorts. Get it together people in Ohio! I know we are itching for that warm weather but seriously it is not that hot. You know we are due for some bootleg snow storm or rain for the next 5 days so just wait, be patient and eventually you can pull those shorts out for a long time!

Parents hide your young daughters and young mothers! Seriously how many women are you going sexually harass I mean ALLEGALLY sexually harass in clubs in your lifetime. I mean one time is an accident but two times is a trend. You really must be an ugly dude if you can't get girls to want to talk to you when you are the qb of the steelers. I mean you made over 100 million dollars and you are going to some bootleg, small natty lite serving bar in Georgia? If you want to go to a bar that has hicks and you might be able to get some hit up Uptown or Kamikazes at Bowling Green. They give you all you need..girls throwing themselves at guys who play football and they love free drinks! Seriously Big Ben you got an issue because you seem like some guy who just can't get any loving and has to force the action. Good luck getting out of this mess!

Man whatever happened to good ole football programs that just paid their athletes? The qb of the Oregon ducks got arrested for robbing a frat house. Really? times are that tough for you that you have to rob a frat house. Well he has now been suspended for the entire 2010 season and this was a team that was going to be ranked top 10 next year. Maybe when you get out you can holla at Maurice Clarett and see if you can tryout for the NFL...I mean there is always the Raiders.

New Moon

I am not hating on the New Moon DVD that drops this week..trust me I know from what Heather tells me daily. The issue I have is that Walmart is having a midnight madness event for this. What is going on at Walmart that at midnight you are going to have a carnival like atmosphere there. So you mean if I walk in there to grab some redstripe to watch for the games I might run into some guy dressed up as a wolf or a vampire? If you have not seen these movies and your girlfriend/wife/partner/etc has..you need to see them. I never knew that these movies and book series were so popular so make sure you check them out ASAP!

St Patricks day

This is the only holiday I can remember where people just take it off to get drunk. Now I am not saying this is a bad thing, I just don't want to hear people say they take it off because they are Irish. I am offended because as everybody knows I am black Irish and you can't insult my heritage by saying that nonsense. Also be careful about drinking that green beer. I know I see a lot of sloppy people drinking it at the bars and then end up in stall 3 because of it. Either way be safe when you are out and about on Weds night and the rest of the weekend while you are celebrating!

It is about time we got over the hump of not winning the "big" game. I think that was by far Pryor's best game as a buckeye. Seemed to be the first time Tressel pulled off the huggies and let T Pain grow up. I do know that if we play like that next year...yes folks..we will be back in the championship mix! I said it so get used to it Dave Kopp and your Hurricanes or Kimar and that sorry excuse for a Michigan program. We are thinking title!

Just because your head doubled in size from the picture on your topps rookie card doesn't mean I think you used roids. Just know that you won't be in the hall of fame anytime soon but I think you have to stand up for what you think is right. I mean a picture wouldn't show that he used steroids would it????

New Years resolutions

I can't stand when people tell me what their new year's resolution is. They always say I'm going to lose weight, go back to school, do this and do that. My question is why does it wait till Jan 1 to see the light and do this stuff? You know if you are overweight you need to be working out BEFORE Jan 1. That is why I do not make these resolutions because whatever I should have been doing, I should have been doing a long time before. So remember when you plan your "resolution" you think to yourself is it just talk or am I going to act on it.

First things first why does this picture look like it could have been a senior year picture of Kimar's brother? I mean did Parker studio take this picture? Ok back to this bomber who tried to set it off on a Detroit airline. I am tired of Al queda always running my flying experience. Do they have anything better to do then try to blow up planes? All you guys are doing is delaying the too long lines we have now. Now there are reports of no ipod or laptops on the plane. What do they expect me to do on the flight? Read that airmall magazine or listen to babies cry? This is the exact reason I think we need those x-ray machines in all the airports. I do not care if you feel violated..I rather know that the person next to me isn't strapped. If you are one of those people who would not do that, then we can have a separate line for you. You can stand there for 3 hours while they go in your bags, take off your shoes and do whatever else they need. Let me walk thru, grab a tall grande from starbucks and get ready for my trip. Getting mad at your McDonalds order

Sometimes I just have to shake my head at people and really try to figure out what they are thinking. An Ohio girl goes absolutely crazy because they messed up her burger at McDonalds. Really...is it that serious. I think the only part of the video I was shocked was she threw the McCookies container. I did not know they still even sold those at McDonalds still. This just says one thing...GHETTO!

Man what in the world is going on in the NBA where people are bringing in guns to the locker room. Well I guess I should start by saying that he isn't the first one with a gun in the locker room. It is kind of pathetic that people who get paid that much money to play a game do not respect their job. All you have to do for 10 years is play basketball..that is it. Why are you two always sitting in seat 1A and 1B of every awards show? Is that a rule that I have to see your reactions every time somebody wins? Somebody tell me what has Nicole Kidman done in the past 10 years? Yeah she had made some movies but lets be real..half of them are garbage. The only thing she is going to be known for is Days of Thunder and crazy Tom Cruise dumping her. Now Keith Urban I do not know much about you except that my wife thinks your hot. Ok you might be hot but you are not in my ipod play list so I don't like you either LOL. Bottom line is I think you guys are not the power couple that you claim to be and you need to move back a few rows and let me enjoy the awards show!

NBC fighting with Jay Leno and Conan

This has been a huge discussion on TV lately with these two hosts. Who would have thought that is was going to come to push or shove between both of these guys. Personally I really never watched that new Leno show. I never thought he was really funny so I didn't know what the hype was. Conan was always funny when he wasn't doing the late night show because he could be more raw. Well Conan has said he is not moving his show and now NBC is scrambling. I think NBC should fire them both and bring this guy out of retirement because lord knows he ain't working...

Special note regarding Haiti

Unbelievable is the only thing that comes to mind when I see those pictures of Haiti. To all the people who have been affected by the earthquake in Haiti my heart goes out to you and your family. I could not even imagine what it would be like to have to go thru something like that. I think whenever we have these type of events its important that people realize exactly what they have. We all take for granted that we have clean water, roof over our head and food to eat. These are things that we expect to have everyday while others just hope for one of them. I applaud the effort of the many countries who have given support to this situation. It is amazing that we are quick to give to other countries and can not help our own communities. I am not saying it is a bad thing, but it is something to think about. We write checks and send money because it is quick, but what about people in your area. Some people need help serving food to homeless or collecting can goods. Sometimes effort is much more rewarding then the actual money. I have never been to Haiti but I can imagine it is somewhat like Jamaica. Most of those countries get their money from resorts that people visit. I know when Heather and I went to Jamaica, you could definitely see how poor the country was outside the Sandals resorts. I hope that things turn around for that country and they are able at some point figure a way to get things better for themselves.
